What Do a Rolex & a Birkin Have in Common?

What do fine art, rare handbags, Rolex watches, 100-point wines, collector cars and an unforgettable culinary experience all have in common?

They all came together for The Art of Collecting, an intimate evening Joe and I hosted at our lakefront home in Texas alongside my dear friend and artist Ash Almonte.

There’s something special about the joy of collecting. Most of us have collected something at some point in our lives—baseball cards as kids, specialty coins, art, wine, handbags, watches, cars, or treasures discovered while traveling the world. Our collections tell stories about what we love, where we’ve been, and sometimes even what we hope to pass down.

So I thought, why not bring some extraordinary luxury collections together under one roof? And that’s exactly what we did.

For those of you who attended, thank you for being part of such a special evening. And for my subscribers who weren’t there, I’m excited to give you an inside look at the collections, people and stories that made the night so memorable.

Throughout the evening, guests experienced:

Fine Art — Ash Almonte
Luxury Handbags — Luxe Du Jour
Rolex & Fine Watches — Jewels by Alicia
100-Point Wines — Treasury Wine Estates | Icon Division
Collector Automobiles — Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth & Texas Collector Car Storage & Owners Club
Culinary Experience — Le Margot & Far Out Hospitality

If you had been there, which collection would you have gone to first?

ASH ALMONTE — FINE ART

It was such a joy hosting this evening alongside my dear friend and incredibly talented artist Ash Almonte. I love not only Ash’s work, but also the heart and meaning behind it.

Ash was recently selected as one of a small group of artists for Daymond John’s Shark Art, and her piece The Hope Is Not to Be Perfect, the Hope Is to Be Present was featured on the set of the Shark Tank star’s podcast. It was also one of the pieces we showcased during The Art of Collecting.

Several pieces from the evening are still available. If you reach out to Ash about a piece, be sure to tell her Amy sent you!

From the moment our guests arrived and stepped away from valet, the very first collection they experienced was a stunning display of collector automobiles. It was the perfect introduction to the evening and set the tone for everything that followed.

CULINARY EXPERIENCE

Our culinary experience was created with Le Margot and Far Out Hospitality, bringing food and wine together throughout the evening and giving our guests another collection to experience—this time through taste.
